Q. You have mentioned all prices in FOB. What does it mean?
FOB means that the price includes all the expenditure in Japan but does not include the shipping freight from Japan to your country. If you provide us with the name of your country and your nearest port, we can check the shipping freight.
Q. Do we have to pay shipping freight in advance or we can pay it when the car arrives to our country?
Some countries hold a good reputation and clean record in the past with Japanese shipping companies, they can enjoy the benifit of paying freight once vehicle arrives in your country. But others are required to pay freight in advance before the ship leaves from Japan. Please inform us of your country and we will guide you through the shipping process.
Q. What is your method of shipment?
There are two ways a car can be shipped. One is called ro-ro which means the car rolls on onto the ship. This is good when purchasing only one car. But for more cars, depending on destination and size of vehicles, we sometimes recommend shipment through containers. Containers are of 20 feet and 40 feet in size. A 20 feet container can ship two cars, this again depends on size and is expensive. But if you buy more cars, we can ship them in 40 feet containers. Normally 6 sedan cars can fit into a 40 feet container, the empty space can be used for sending you used engines and parts. Q. You have mentioned prices in Yen. Can we pay in other currency?
Currency in Japan is Yen and whatever currency you use to send us money from your country, our bank in Japan will give us payment in Yen. So please inform the amount to your banker in Yen and they will do the calculation.
Q. How can I place an order?
If you like a vehicle, send us an enquiry. We will confirm the sale to you and send you an invoice. Upon receiving the invoice, you deposit 50% being advance payment, we will ship your vehicle after this payment is received. After shipment, we will send you a copy of the bill of lading as proof of shipment. You send us the final balance and you will receive the original documents by post. For cars of cheap prices valuing 300,000 Yen or less, we do not accept half payment, you have to send us full payment up-front.
Q. How soon can you ship my vehcile?
Once advance payment is received, there is no use of delaying the shipment. Immediately booking is made and car shipped by first ship that sails. However, sometimes space is very tight and shipment cannot be done as soon as we would like. You may not like it but this is a reality and bitter truth. In such instances, we can come up with alternative solutions like shipment through containers. However, it is only profitable to you if you have ordered more than one vehicle.
Q. When are documents sent to us?
Once full payment is received, documents are sent by DHL or EMS.
Q. Are your cars quality reliable or do we need to spend money on repairs?
If you have to spend money on repairs after they arrive to your country, then the car will give you a clear LOSS. No one wants to do business for a loss, therefore we have a strict policy of dealing only with good quality vehicles. Engine, chassis, interior, exterior, odometer are all thoroughly checked, we ensure the car has no rust, no repaint, no repairs, no accident.
